Analysis: Green did most of his work in the third quarter of this game. He scored 22 points in the period, which was the highest-scoring quarter of his career. With how well Amen Thompson has played, there have been plenty of questions about how long Green will maintain the starting shooting guard job. Consistency has always been the issue for Green, since he is capable of performances like this, but he had 12 points on sub 40% shooting in each of their last two games. Managers should enjoy this stat line, but don't expect this to continue to be the norm. |

Analysis: Shooting efficiency has been an issue for Sengun this season, but that wasn't the case in this game. Sengun made over 70% of his shots for just the second time this season and was still able to approach triple-double territory. His scoring has been down, which is directly correlated to a 5.6% drop in his field goal percentage. As that continues to correct, Sengun will approach top-25 status in 9-cat leagues. He has had one of the best seasons of his career, but there is still plenty of room for him to get even better. |

Analysis: Brooks didn't do much scoring after the break, but he made a huge impact early on. He scored 20 of his 26 points in the first half, which helped Houston take a 14-point lead into halftime. Despite being an elite defender, Brooks isn't able to get enough defensive stats to contribute in 9-cat leagues. Nights like this are great, but they certainly haven't been the norm for him. Brooks isn't worth adding off the waiver wire in standard leagues, even if he played well in this game. |

Analysis: Will there come a point when Thompson moves into the starting lineup? Probably not anytime soon, but nights like Saturday will keep the chatter going. While Thompson was excellent in 30 minutes off the bench, starting guards Fred VanVleet (8/9/7/1 with one 3-pointer) and Jalen Green (12/3/2/0/1 with one 3-pointer) combined to shoot 8-of-29 from the field and 2-of-19 from three. Even as a reserve, Thompson should be rostered in most fantasy leagues. However, it's fair to wonder if his ceiling is being limited through no fault of his own. |

Thompson certainly has more fantasy value when Fred VanVleet is out, but it's not like he isn't fantasy viable when VanVleet is in either. Given VanVleet's shooting woes this year, it's worth wondering if the Rockets might consider putting the ball in Thompson's hands more. |
