Jae'Sean Tate
Jae'Sean Tate (personal) out Monday vs. Phoenix
Sun, Nov 23, 2025, 1:37 PM
NBA Injury Report
Jae'Sean Tate (personal) is out for Monday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: Tate has not been a consistent member of the Rockets' rotation this season, so his absence will not affect fantasy basketball. However, it does leave them down another frontcourt option, as Tari Eason (oblique) is already out.
Steven Adams
Steven Adams (ankle) questionable Monday vs. PHO
Sun, Nov 23, 2025, 1:34 PM
NBA Injury Report
Steven Adams (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: Adams is dealing with left ankle tendinopathy, and there could be minutes available to Clint Capela if he's unable to play on Monday. However, even if Capela picks up rotation minutes, he would not be worth the risk in most fantasy leagues. Also, the Rockets could bring Josh Okogie back into the starting lineup, especially with the Suns only having one true big (Mark Williams) in their starting lineup.
Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant (personal) out Monday vs. Phoenix
Sun, Nov 23, 2025, 9:20 AM
Shams Charania
Kevin Durant (personal) is out for Monday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: Durant is away from the Rockets, attending to a family matter, so he will not return to Phoenix for the first time since being traded during the offseason. Reed Sheppard and Josh Okogie are two players who should see more opportunities with Durant unavailable. Sheppard has been a top-75 player in fantasy basketball this season and is the superior option for managers seeking reliable production.
Jabari Smith
HOU starts Amen, Durant, Smith, ?engün, Adams
Fri, Nov 21, 2025, 1:52 PM
Bennett Durando
Amen Thompson, Kevin Durant, Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen ?engün and Steven Adams will start Friday's game against the Nuggets.
Analysis: Due to knee issues, Smith and Adams were initially questionable for Friday's game. They're both available and will start as part of a massive Rockets lineup. This is the second consecutive game that head coach Ime Udoka has gone with this lineup, first doing so in Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers.
Steven Adams
Steven Adams (knee) questionable Friday vs. Denver
Thu, Nov 20, 2025, 10:53 AM
NBA Injury Report
Steven Adams (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Nuggets.
Analysis: Adams was inserted into the starting lineup for Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers, bumping Josh Okogie to the bench. Okogie may have been moved back into the starting lineup regardless of Adams' status. Still, the chances of him returning to that role increase exponentially if the veteran center's knee keeps Adams out.
Jabari Smith
Jabari Smith (knee) questionable Friday vs. Denver
Thu, Nov 20, 2025, 10:50 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jabari Smith Jr. (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Nuggets.
Analysis: Smith was initially questionable for Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers, but he started and played 31 minutes. If he can play against the Nuggets, the Rockets forward will be in line for a similar workload. If Smith can't play, Reed Sheppard becomes a player of greater importance despite not playing the same position.
Aaron Holiday
Aaron Holiday chips in with 18 points vs. Cavs
Wed, Nov 19, 2025, 4:09 PM
Aaron Holiday tallied 18 points (5-of-7 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), one steal and three three-pointers in Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Holiday has hit double figures in three straight games, with Wednesday's total being a season-high. He didn't provide anything beyond the points, three-pointers and percentages, so there's no need to consider rostering Holiday. Reed Sheppard (12/2/2/1/1 with two three-pointers) remains the superior option for fantasy managers, especially with Tari Eason out due to injury.
Alperen Sengun
Alperen ?engün records 28/11/7/1/1 stat line
Wed, Nov 19, 2025, 4:09 PM
Alperen ?engün finished Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers with 28 points (10-of-17 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), 11 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one blocked shot.
Analysis: ?engün was outstanding on Wednesday, outplaying Cleveland's tandem of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen while recording his ninth double-double of the season. The Rockets center, who was effectively the starting power forward with Steven Adams (6/11/3/0/1) in the lineup, is providing top-25 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. That aligns with ?engün's Yahoo! ADP, so those who have him rostered are in a good place.
Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant scores 20 points vs. Cleveland
Wed, Nov 19, 2025, 4:07 PM
Kevin Durant shot 6-of-18 from the field and 7-of-8 from the foul line in Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers, scoring 20 points with three rebounds, three assists and one three-pointer.
Analysis: Durant was on the proverbial “struggle bus” Wednesday night, shooting poorly from the field and committing four turnovers. Thus far, while his numbers remain solid, KD's fantasy value has not met the expectations of most managers. Ranked just outside the top-50 in nine-cat formats, he has been two rounds more valuable in eight-cat. Given Durant's track record and skill set, there's no need for fantasy managers to lose any sleep over his most recent performance.
Steven Adams
HOU starts Amen, Durant, Smith, ?engün, Adams
Wed, Nov 19, 2025, 11:48 AM
Ethan Sands
Amen Thompson, Kevin Durant, Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen ?engün and Steven Adams will start Wednesday's game against the Rockets.
Analysis: With the Cavaliers boasting a bigger frontcourt than most teams, the Rockets have made a change to their starting lineup. Adams will start, which shifts Smith and ?engün up a position, with Josh Okogie coming off the bench. Okogie provided limited value as a starter, so he should already be on the waiver wire in most leagues.
Jabari Smith
Jabari Smith Jr. (knee) available Wednesday
Wed, Nov 19, 2025, 11:46 AM
Ethan Sands
Jabari Smith Jr. (knee) is available for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Smith is good to go after being considered questionable on Houston's initial injury report. He will shift up a position for Wednesday's matchup, with Josh Okogie moving to the bench in favor of Steven Adams.
Jabari Smith
Jabari Smith Jr. (knee) questionable Wednesday
Tue, Nov 18, 2025, 11:57 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jabari Smith Jr. (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Smith most recently played 43 minutes in Sunday's overtime win over the Magic, and his absence would leave a hole in the Rockets' starting lineup. If he cannot play, Steven Adams is a potential replacement in the starting lineup, especially considering the matchup. Reed Sheppard may also see his minutes increase and should be rostered in 12-team leagues.
Amen Thompson
Amen Thompson posts double-double in overtime win
Sun, Nov 16, 2025, 4:13 PM
Amen Thompson recorded 12 points (4-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds and two assists in Sunday's win over the Magic.
Analysis: Thompson notched his second double-double of the season on Sunday, but he had a difficult night shooting-wise. Over his last two games, the third-year wing has shot 10-of-30 from the field. The good news for Houston is that Reed Sheppard picked up the slack, coming off the bench to score 16 points with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers. With all that Thompson brings to the table defensively and as a secondary playmaker, his role is secure. And Sheppard is developing into a player who doesn't need to start to provide tangible fantasy value.
Alperen Sengun
Alperen ?engün records 30/13/8/0/2 line vs. ORL
Sun, Nov 16, 2025, 4:13 PM
Alperen ?engün tallied 30 points (11-of-31 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), 13 rebounds, eight assists and two blocks in Sunday's overtime win over the Magic.
Analysis: ?engün has recorded a double-double in four straight games, with Sunday's being his first with at least 30 points since Houston's season-opener. Unfortunately, fantasy managers took a beating in the field-goal percentage and turnover (five) categories, but efficiency has not been a significant issue for the Rockets center this season. ?engün heads into Week 5 providing top-30 value in eight- and nine-cat formats, performing slightly better in the former.
Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant tallies game-high 35 points vs. ORL
Sun, Nov 16, 2025, 4:12 PM
Kevin Durant finished Sunday's overtime win over the Magic with 35 points (13-of-24 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, one block and two three-pointers.
Analysis: Durant has scored at least 30 points in two straight and three of his last four appearances, serving as an offensive catalyst during Houston's four-game win streak. Playing on a better all-around squad than the Suns team he left during the offseason, KD's points, rebounds and assists have decreased, but not by much. All it takes for him to make good on his Yahoo! ADP (16) is a sustained run of excellence, something he's shown himself capable of doing throughout his illustrious NBA career. Unfortunately, the Rockets play only two games in Week 5.
Tari Eason
Tari Eason (oblique) to miss 4-6 weeks
Sat, Nov 15, 2025, 8:08 AM
Danielle Lerner
Tari Eason (oblique) will be out for 4-6 weeks.
Analysis: Initially announced to have suffered a hip injury during Friday's win over the Trail Blazers, Eason has been diagnosed with a strained oblique. While Jeff Green could move into the rotation, it's just as likely that Josh Okogie and Reed Sheppard will absorb some of the minutes that would have gone to Eason. Jae'Sean Tate is another possibility, but he has not recorded double-digit minutes in any of his seven appearances this season.
Alperen Sengun
?engün dominates with 25/10/9/3/3 line, four treys
Fri, Nov 14, 2025, 5:20 PM
Alperen ?engün stuffed the stat sheet on Friday with 25 points (9-of-13 FGs), 10 rebounds, nine assists, three steals, three blocks and four three-pointers against the Trail Blazers
Analysis: ?engün has been a force all season, but this was arguably his best performance of the year. He fell one assist of a triple-double, but it was the defensive production that really made this an elite performance for him. His assists and steals matched his season-high, while the blocks were the most he's had in a game this year. On top of that, he didn't turn the ball over once. This was an incredible outing for ?engün, and he'll look to wrap the week up on a high note against the Magic on Sunday.
Jabari Smith
Jabari Smith Jr. puts up 22 points, four triples
Fri, Nov 14, 2025, 5:13 PM
Jabari Smith Jr. lit up the Trail Blazers with 22 points (9-of-16 FGs), five rebounds, three assists and four three-pointers on Friday.
Analysis: It's early, but Smith has started this season out well and is currently posting career-highs in points, three-pointers and field goal percentage. This was his second 20-point game of the season, and he matched his season-high for three-pointers. Smith has been a consistent presence in the starting lineup for the Rockets, and while he hasn't had many big performances, he has been a steady performer.
Kevin Durant
KD scores 30 points in blowout win over Portland
Fri, Nov 14, 2025, 5:05 PM
Kevin Durant led the Rockets with 30 points (12-of-19 FGs), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and three three-pointers in a 140-116 win over the Trail Blazers on Friday.
Analysis: When Durant has had his shot going this year, he has been unstoppable. This was his fourth 30-point performance of the season, and he has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in each of those. KD's arrival has helped Houston be the best offensive team in the league so far this season, and he hasn't even been at his best yet. More performances like this will help both fantasy managers and the Rockets.
Tari Eason
Tari Eason (hip) will not return vs. Portland
Fri, Nov 14, 2025, 3:25 PM
Danielle Lerner
Tari Eason (hip) will not return to Friday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: Eason's early exit could open the door for Jeff Green to return to the rotation, but it is more likely that Reed Sheppard and Josh Okogie will just see a few extra minutes. The Rockets could also turn to more two-big lineups, which would result in more minutes for Steven Adams and Clint Capela.
