Amen Thompson has double-double in win over Jazz
Thu, Mar 27, 2025, 5:25 PM
Amen Thompson had 15 points (7-of-11 FGs), 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer against the Jazz on Thursday.
Analysis: Thompson recorded his fourth double-double in his last seven games after sitting out Tuesday's game against the Hawks with an ankle injury. The 22-year-old point guard is an excellent rebounder for his position. He's had at least nine rebounds in 10 of his last 11 games. Thompson's impact on the game can't be overstated and it's great news for the Rockets and fantasy managers that he's back on the court.
Jalen Green
Jalen Green has 21/8/6 line in win over Jazz
Thu, Mar 27, 2025, 5:23 PM
Jalen Green had 21 points (8-of-20 FGs), eight rebounds, six assists and four three-pointers against the Jazz on Thursday.
Analysis: Green was hardly efficient scoring with 21 points on 20 shots, though he was able to make four three-pointers on 10 attempts. The 23-year-old shooting guard contributed in the other categories and was ultimately just two rebounds and four assists shy of a triple-double. Green's fantasy value is ultimately tied to his scoring as he's a top-25 fantasy player when his shot is falling.
Alperen Sengun
Alperen Sengun has 33 points, 10 boards in win
Thu, Mar 27, 2025, 5:22 PM
Alperen Sengun had 33 points (11-of-19 FGs), 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the Rockets' 121-110 victory over the Jazz on Thursday.
Analysis: Sengun exploded for his first game with at least 30 points since March 1. The 22-year-old center isn't a three-point shooter and missed his only attempt from behind the three-point line against the Jazz on Thursday. Sengun committed three turnovers, which had been a problem but is as many as he committed in the previous three games combined. Sengun remains much more valuable in eight-category leagues due to his struggles with turnovers this season.
Steven Adams
Steven Adams (wrist) ruled out vs. Utah Thursday
Thu, Mar 27, 2025, 1:45 PM
Vanessa Richardson
Steven Adams (wrist) has been ruled out against the Jazz on Thursday.
Analysis: With Adams sidelined, Jock Landale will fill out the backup center minutes behind Alperen Sengun. That won't result in Landale playing enough minutes to warrant a stream in any format.
Amen Thompson
Amen Thompson (ankle) available vs. Utah Thursday
Thu, Mar 27, 2025, 1:43 PM
Vanessa Richardson
Amen Thompson (ankle) is available to play against the Jazz on Thursday.
Analysis: Thompson is back after missing Tuesday's game against Atlanta. He'll return to his typical spot in the starting lineup, which will push Tari Eason back to a reserve role. Eason should see plenty of minutes, but he won't have the same upside that he held as a starter.

Amen Thompson, Steven Adams questionable vs. Jazz
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 9:41 AM
NBA Injury Report
Amen Thompson (ankle) and Steven Adams (wrist) are questionable for Thursday's game against the Jazz.
Analysis: Amen Thompson is in danger of missing a second-straight game with an ankle injury and could be replaced by Tari Eason in the starting unit again if ruled out. Jock Landale could step in as Alperen Sengun's primary backup if Adams is ruled out.
Tari Eason
Tari Eason grabs 14 boards in spot start
Tue, Mar 25, 2025, 4:46 PM
Tari Eason finished Tuesday's win over the Hawks with 10 points (3-of-10 FG), 14 rebounds and a steal across 25 minutes.
Analysis: Eason filled in for Amen Thompson (ankle) and delivered a strong performance as a rebounder. He struggled on offense, getting to 10 points on 10 shots, but he committed only one turnover and hit all four of his free-throw attempts. This was far from an elite showing, but it wasn't too shabby.
Jalen Green
Jalen Green leads all scorers in win vs. ATL
Tue, Mar 25, 2025, 4:34 PM
Jalen Green finished with 32 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a triple across 41 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Hawks.
Analysis: Green posted his second straight 30-point game and third across his last five. He's scored at least 20 points in seven of his last eight and has been excellent on offense, save for a six-point showing against the Heat. Green and the Rockets face the Jazz on Thursday, a team he scored 25 against earlier this season and 34 and 41 in two matchups last season.
Amen Thompson
Amen Thompson (ankle) ruled out Tuesday vs. ATL
Tue, Mar 25, 2025, 2:14 PM
Lauren Williams
Amen Thompson (ankle) is out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
Analysis: Due to a sprained left ankle, which is the same one he injured in early March, Thompson has been scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game. Tari Eason is the replacement in the starting lineup, and he should be streamed in shallow leagues until Thompson is cleared to return. There's no word on the severity of this sprain, but Thompson missed nearly two weeks due to the previous ankle injury.
Steven Adams
Steven Adams tallies 14 points, 12 rebounds
Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 5:57 PM
Steven Adams played 23 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Nuggets, finishing with 14 points (6-of-10 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 12 rebounds, one assist and three blocked shots.
Analysis: Adams' playing time has increased recently, with the veteran center logging 21 minutes or more in four of his last five appearances. However, Sunday's game was the first in which his production was impactful. Adams recorded his third double-double of the season, and the three blocked shots matched his season-high. However, one night does not make Adams a player worth adding, especially with the Rockets only playing three games during Week 21.
Alperen Sengun
Alperen Sengun records 17/14/10/2/1 line vs. DEN
Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 5:14 PM
Alperen Sengun accounted for 17 points (6-of-15 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), 14 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and one blocked shot in 39 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Nuggets.
Analysis: Sengun finished Sunday's loss with his fourth triple-double of the season and first since November 26. The Rockets center also did not commit a turnover, which was the first time he'd accomplished that since January 25. Sengun has only been a top-75 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, but fantasy managers don't have much to worry about regarding his production. The Rockets play three games during Week 21, starting with the Hawks on Tuesday.
Dillon Brooks
Dillon Brooks hits five three-pointers, scores 21
Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 5:14 PM
Dillon Brooks shot 8-of-12 from the field in Sunday's loss to the Nuggets, tallying 21 points, three rebounds, one assist and five three-pointers in 36 minutes.
Analysis: For the second time in four games, Brooks has made five three-pointers. However, while he has averaged 2.8 three-pointers per game over the past two weeks, the Rockets guard has only provided 12th-round value in eight-cat formats. Brooks does not offer much value as a rebounder, and his defensive stats have also been limited. That makes him a difficult player to trust in most fantasy leagues, even on nights like Sunday.
Jalen Green
Jalen Green scores team-high 28 points vs. Denver
Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 5:13 PM
Jalen Green recorded 28 points (7-of-21 FGs, 11-of-14 FTs), two rebounds, five assists and three three-pointers in 36 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Nuggets.
Analysis: While Green's point total was impressive, he only shot 33.3 percent from the field. An 11-of-14 night from the foul line boosted the Rockets guard's final tally, and fantasy managers can also benefit from the five assists. Green shot 3-of-12 from three against the Nuggets and is now 16-of-57 over his last five. Three-point percentage is not a scoring category in default leagues, but Green's willingness to take those shots has torpedoed his field goal percentage many nights.
Amen Thompson
Amen Thompson has 18/9/5/7/1 line in win over Heat
Fri, Mar 21, 2025, 4:50 PM
Amen Thompson had 18 points (8-of-14 FGs), nine rebounds, five assists, seven steals and one block against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Thompson returned after missing the last six games and played great. The 22-year-old point guard wasn't on a minutes restriction as he played 35 minutes in the four-point victory. Thompson impacted the game every which way with 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, seven steals, and a block. It's good to have him back for both the Rockets and fantasy managers.
Fred VanVleet
Fred VanVleet has 37 points, nine threes in win
Fri, Mar 21, 2025, 4:48 PM
Fred VanVleet had 37 points (13-of-17 FGs), three assists, three steals and nine three-pointers in the Rockets' 102-98 victory over the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Earlier this week, VanVleet struggled badly with his shot against the 76ers. The 31-year-old point guard scored three points on 1-of-6 shooting in 38 minutes of a game that went to overtime. Two games later, VanVleet dropped 37 points on the Heat to hand them their 10th straight loss. It was the most points he's had in a game since December 1 against the Thunder, when he had 38 points. Houston finishes the week with a matchup Sunday against the Nuggets.
Amen Thompson
Amen Thompson (ankle) available, starting Friday

Danielle Lerner
Amen Thompson (ankle) will start against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Thompson will be back after missing Houston's last six games. He will also immediately return to the starting lineup, which will likely push Tari Eason to a reserve role. Eason and Jabari Smith Jr. should still play large roles off the bench, but Thompson doesn't have a minutes restriction, so Eason and Smith Jr. will be slightly limited.
Amen Thompson
Amen Thompson (ankle) probable vs. Miami Friday
Thu, Mar 20, 2025, 10:40 AM
NBA Injury Report
Amen Thompson (ankle) is listed as probable to play against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Reports from earlier in the week suggested that Thompson could make his return to the lineup against Miami, and the most recent injury report indicates that will likely be the case. Thompson should immediately slide back in to the starting lineup, which will push Tari Eason back to the bench and limit the minutes of both Eason and Jabari Smith Jr.
Tari Eason
Tari Eason records 16 points, five steals vs. ORL
Wed, Mar 19, 2025, 3:48 PM
Tari Eason accounted for 16 points (7-of-10 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, four assists, five steals and one blocked shot in 32 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Magic.
Analysis: Eason's line on Wednesday was excellent, as he filled the stat sheet outside of three-pointers. The five steals were one shy of his season and career highs, and Eason has scored 15 points or more in four straight outings. Since the All-Star break, Eason has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. With Amen Thompson (ankle) likely returning on Friday, Tari may return to the bench. However, he should still be rostered in standard leagues.
Alperen Sengun
Alperen Sengun posts 22/12/4 line vs. Orlando
Wed, Mar 19, 2025, 3:47 PM
Alperen Sengun finished Wednesday's win over the Magic with 22 points (9-of-18 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), 12 rebounds, four assists and one three-pointer in 37 minutes.
Analysis: Sengun has recorded a double-double in four straight and five of his last six appearances, one reason why the Rockets have ripped off eight consecutive wins. He committed three turnovers, which is lower than his average of 3.8 per game since the All-Star break. Due to the turnovers, a four-round gap separates Sengun's eight-cat and nine-cat values. He'll look to end Week 20 on a high note as the Rockets close with games against the Heat and Nuggets.
Jalen Green
Jalen Green leads Rockets to win with 26 points
Wed, Mar 19, 2025, 3:46 PM
Jalen Green tallied 26 points (8-of-18 FGs, 7-of-10 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists and three three-pointers in 37 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Magic.
Analysis: Green and the Rockets have won their last eight games, with a strong second half getting the job done on Wednesday. Green has scored 23 points or more in five straight games, averaging 27.2 points per contest. With the improved scoring, he has provided top-20 value in eight- and nine-cat formats during this stretch. The Rockets play twice more during Week 20, starting with the Heat on Friday in the final game of their current road trip.
