Analysis: Thompson came out hot to begin Monday's game, scoring 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting in the first half. That's the highest point total he's recorded in a single half in his NBA career. The Mavericks did a better job defending Thompson after the intermission, but he still recorded an excellent overall stat line. His fantasy value has been low thus far, due mainly to turnovers and a low free-throw percentage. However, fantasy managers should not be too concerned, especially with Fred VanVleet (knee) likely missing the entire season. |

Analysis: Sengun fell one assist shy of recording a triple-double as Houston's sheer size and athleticism advantages were simply too much for the undersized Celtics. He shot just 38 percent from the floor in this one, but he was able to pull down 10 rebounds and served as the Rockets de-facto point guard for large stretches of the contest. The 23-year-old burgeoning star has certainly lived up to his lofty second-round ADP for fantasy managers in the early stages of the season. |

Analysis: Sengun offers one of the highest floors in fantasy basketball. Analysis: Fred VanVleet (knee) suffered a torn ACL just before the start of training camp. While he has not officially been ruled out for the entire 2025-26 season, a DPE can only be granted if the player will not play. Per the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the exemption would be equivalent to 50 percent of the injured player's annual salary. VanVleet is due to make $25 million this season. The exemption would give the Rockets more room to account for VanVleet's absence, which would impact Reed Sheppard's role if another guard is added to the roster. |
